Altech brings the temperature down with Alphacool

PC hardware distributor, Altech Computers, has swelled its computer cooling equipment products portfolio with European vendor, Alphacool.

The exclusive partnership gives Altech access to Alphacool's full range of products, including cooling gear, OEM kits and pre-installed cases. Altech also carries water cooling kits from Zalman and Corsair, but Altech managing director, Antony Sheen, said Alphacool's products offered greater versatility than other vendors.

"Alphacool offers a much wider range of separate parts such as pumps, water blocks and pipes, so enthusiasts can make their own design of water cooled system," he said.

Sheen said Alphacool products aligned well with Altech's gaming products. Its go-to-market strategy was to leverage Altech's pre-existing presence in the enthusiast market with its NRG gaming systems.

"Alphacool is very well known in Europe amongst enthusiasts as a manufacturer of German quality, high-performance water cooled solutions," Sheen said.

Sheen said Altech will not be looking to add more cooling products vendors.

In a statement, Alphacool international sales manager, Chris Banks, said Altech's reputation and widespread distribution reach gave it a strong presence in the Australian, New Zealand and Hong Kong markets.
