Functional and Effective Server Management with the ATEN Dual Rail LCD KVM Console with PS/2-USB Dual Interface Support

30th January 2008 – Anyware Computer Accessories is pleased to announce the release of the Dual Rail LCD PS/2-USB KVM Console - the KL1100 – from ATEN’s enterprise solutions product line ALTUSEN™. The KL1100 features an integrated 17-inch or 19-inch high-resolution LCD monitor, a full keyboard and a touchpad in a 1U dual rail housing with internal power built in. The KL1100 provides an external combo console port, consisting of a PS/2 or USB keyboard, a mouse and a monitor, allowing administrators to manage their KVM installations even more conveniently.

ATEN’s cutting-edge dual rail KVM solutions are designed for enterprise customers who need space-saving, flexible and cost-effective server management solutions for their network environments. For server rooms that already have KVM switches installed, the KL1100 is a great addition as it can integrate with existing KVM switches or servers and gives instant control over the installation from the compact, space-saving dual rail LCD console. With its dual interface feature, the KL1100 supports servers and KVM switches with PS/2 or USB connectors.

For added convenience and multipoint access, the KL1100 provides an external combo console with either PS/2 or USB connectors. Administrators can choose to control the installation from an extended local console (keyboard, video and mouse). In addition, a hot-pluggable USB mouse port is provided on the front panel for users who don’t like working with touchpads.

The sophisticated Dual Rail design of the KL1100 allows the LCD monitor to slide independently of the keyboard/touchpad. For monitoring and troubleshooting servers, the LCD monitor can remain in clear view with the server rack door closed - a perfect solution for space-constrained server rooms. The KL1100 supports excellent video quality with resolutions of up to 1280 x 1024 pixels at 75Hz and DDC2B for both the 17- and 19-inch monitor. The DDC emulation of the LCD monitor will automatically adjust the video settings of each computer providing optimal output to the monitor.
