APC adds to channel team

New recruit to focus on providing technical information to partners

Power management vendor, APC, has appointed a solutions architect to its national channel team to expand its service to partners.

Kevin Hughes comes to the role with a mechanical engineering background and was previously systems engineer team leader with APC. Prior to that he was a business development manager with Emerson.

Hughes said the position was newly created by APC to increase channel partner benefits. His primary aim is to provide technical information to partners about product lifecycles.

"Even though we're 100 per cent channel focused, we want to take it a step further with creative support," he said.

Hughes' first point of focus is to help support APC's channel by looking at strategic and products directions. He will also help develop and implement channel education programs to help APC's partners improve skill sets and identify market opportunities.
