NetOpt brings on Iogear

US vendor of KVM and wireless technology will have its first Australian presence with Brisbane-based distributor

Brisbane-based distributor, NetOpt, will bring US networking vendor, Iogear, to Australia to round out its networking and connectivity portfolio.

NetOpt product manager, Rick Nand, said the distributor had been testing the Iogear product range, which includes KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse), connectivity, networking, digital audio/visual, mobility and desktop solutions for the past nine months, and was impressed by the quality.

“We’re not looking for other vendors in this space,” Nand said. “We think Iogear is price competitive, has a good commitment to green initiatives and fills out our portfolio.

“We did not have a full range of products as far as KVM and connectivity are concerned, so Iogear complements our other vendors in building solutions.”

NetOpt will initially target B2B resellers with the Iogear line, as the vendor’s wireless products best suited a SMB customer base, Nand claimed. He added some of the product line could be made available through retail from next year.

NetOpt is going through a period of growth despite the economic situation and had not seen much downturn in business, Nand said.
