Mitel Expands Sydney Office to Support Channel Growth

Mitel®, the trusted provider of unified communications solutions for growing businesses, today announced an expansion of their Sydney office, with Asia Pacific Sales and Marketing being led from an enlarged Australian operation.

To support recent business growth across Australia and New Zealand, Mitel has recently invested significant resources into their Sydney operations. Partner training and support capabilities have recently been further expanded, to support the increased number of partners offering Mitel solutions. There are currently 85 Australian and 13 New Zealand members of Mitel’s partner program.

As part of the expansion, Nedi Nheu has been relocated from Perth to Sydney, to take on the newly created role of General Manager South Pacific. Nedi has previously been Mitel’s state manager for Western Australia, and held senior management positions at Alcatel, Newbridge Networks, and Singtel Optus. In his new role, Nedi will focus on managing logistics, human resources, and financial operations across Australia and New Zealand.

In addition, Gwilym Funnell has been promoted from Country Manager to a newly created role of Director Asia Pacific - Business Development and Marketing. Gwilym will now be responsible for growing business opportunities across the entire Asia Pacific region, and for management of all sales and marketing activities.
