NetStar expands into Queensland

Integrator hires business development manager responsible for growing the region

Network integrator, NetStar Networks, has hired business development manager, Nitha Coetzer, as part of an expansion into the Queensland market. NetStar managing director, Chris Meager, said it had been looking at geographically expanding its presence as a complementary growth strategy. The integrator also has offices in Sydney and Melbourne.

“Brisbane was the most appropriate market,” he said. “We also have a number of customers based in Queensland and the new office enables us to better service these customers.”

Coetzer, who previously worked at Data#3 as a solutions specialist, will focus on building up the new branch and working with Cisco while directly reporting to Meager.

Meager said as business and revenue increase in the region, he would look to hire more business development and senior technical staff to design and deliver converged network and Unified Communications offerings to the market.

Coetzer's appointment takes NetStar's staff count up to 90.

In August, NetStar indicated it was growing fairly rapidly in the local market.
