Jarvis quits Bluechip

Managing director will take on sales manager responsibilities
Julia Talevski 15 May, 2008 15:00:42

Bluechip Infotech's national sales director, Ron Jarvis, will leave the distributor at the end of the month.

Managing director, Johnson Hsiung, has no immediate plans to find a replacement and will instead take on the national sales responsibilities himself.

"Ron has been in the IT industry for more than 20 years and wants to take a break," Hsiung said. "It's something he's been thinking about for a while.

"We will need to find a new sales manager in the long term but I'm not in any rush so I will take my time about it over the next few months. We've got good branch managers and it just means I will have to spend more time travelling interstate." Jarvis has a long history in the local distribution industry and was a partner of Melbourne-based distributor, BBF, which was purchased by Bluechip in 2003.

Jarvis was not contactable at the time of going to press.
