Dataweave wins KRC Mining Consultant contract
Sydney-based Oracle integrator, Dataweave, has won a contract with KRC Mining Consultants to implement Oracle E-Business Suite and Universale Content Management.
The integrator claims it will be the first deployment of Oracle Accelerate E-Business Suite in Australia.
Dataweave managing director, Norman Weaver, said the contract was valued at the higher end of the scale.
“The total worth is around $200,000 and we’re hopeful of winning some more work with KRC in the future, so it’s an important contract for us,” Weaver said.
The contract was won competitively, as KRC had also considered Microsoft and SAP solutions.
Weaver said Dataweave’s relatively small size was a key factor in the win.
“We’ve been in operation for just under three years now, so we’re still a good option for companies with small budgets – we can offer solutions at a reasonable price,” he said.
The main verticals Dataweave operates in are professional services, financial services and utilities. The company is an Oracle specialist, and is an Oracle Certified Advantage Partner – the highest level of accreditation available under the vendor's Partner Program.
Dataweave currently has 15 staff at a growth rate of 100 per cent per annum, and has recently opened its second office in Melbourne, which is manned by three staff, Weaver said.
“We’re looking forward to another year of growth and looking to expand further, although we’ll wait and see where the opportunities are. Both Brisbane and Perth are exciting potential markets for us at the moment,” he said.
