ARN IT Industry Awards: The specialist categories
It’s just a few hours until the second ARN IT Industry Awards kicks off at the Sydney Hilton Hotel.
Alongside a range of vendor, distributor and reseller accolades, personal excellence and a commitment to greening IT within the industry will step into the spotlight.
In the Personal Innovation category, the finalists for this year’s Customer Service Excellence award are Dean Calvert (Calvert Technologies), Adrianna Parris (Infoplex) and Isabel Reid (Express Data).
Those up for the Sales Excellence award are Daniel Nyssen (Sophos), Tim Overton (Kyocera Mita) and Troy Roberts (Calltime Solutions). The Technical Excellence shortlist, meanwhile, includes Paul Ducklin (Sophos), Tyson Garrett (ThinkSecure) and Danny Ip (Express Data).
Environmental sustainability and greener IT practices are also becoming increasingly important across the industry. Finalists for the best Green Project at this year’s ARN IT Industry Awards are Canberra Data Centres, Computers Off Australia and Datacom.
The shortlist for the Green Product Award includes a range of hardware vendors such as Asus, D-Link, IBM, Lenovo and Western Digital. The Green Vendor of the Year award will be contested by Emerson, IBM, Kyocera Mita, Lexmark and Sun Microsystems.
The finalists across the Personnel Innovation and Green IT award categories were voted on by the ARN IT Industry Awards judging panel, an independent panel of industry representatives.
Alongside the awards and festivities, ARN is also holding an auction to raise funds for Clean Up Australia. There are five auction items up for grabs based around a number of experiences suitable for corporate or personal use.
