ASX-listed UXC (ASX: UXC) subsidiary, Integ, has rolled out its first green initiative tackling e-waste.

The integrator has partnered with Sims E-Recycling to launch its iDispose offer, which addresses the safe disposal of end-of-life electronic equipment. Integ CEO, Ian Poole, said safe disposal was a primary focus for clients.

"The service we've launched is in response to a recent survey we conducted on our clients," he said. "It's the first of a series of programs we'll be rolling out."

Over the next six months Integ will launch an audit program to aid partners in determining the best ways to reduce and recycle material. Poole said the integrator was very keen to put an environmental component into its solutions.

"We're going to launch our own internal environment program of education and audits, and purchasing carbon offsets - we're going down a similar path internally to what we're offering clients," he said.

Poole said Sims E-Recycling was selected as Integ's partner for the iDispose initiative due to its wide reach.

"We looked around for the partner that was the best fit for us and they needed to have a national reach for what we want to achieve," he said.
