Thomas Duryea expands CommVault partnership

Platinum Partner status a result of close collaboration over business strategy, integrator claims

Thomas Duryea Consulting has upgraded its partnership status with data management vendor, CommVault, to Platinum level.

Thomas Duryea systems architect, Nathan Clarke, said becoming a Platinum Partner was a six-month process, in which the two businesses collaborated closely on a business and strategic level.

“We’ve brought in engineers and sales focused people and we’re going through a complete enablement program with CommVault including custom training programs covering everything from sales through to delivery,” Clarke said. “The goal of our datacentre business is to deliver solutions to customers that reduce the complexity of the datacentre environments.”

Thomas Duryea also closely partners with EMC, NetApp, Quantum and HP for backup to disk and tape solutions.

Thomas Duryea national practice manager of datacentre solutions, Stan Sotiropoulos, said the integrator has 20 staff around virtualisation, enterprise storage and data protection and compliance.

“We have a lot of customers whose compliance and archiving requirements are growing, both with physical and virtual environments, and customers who have a mixture of fixed and remote access points,” Sotriopoulos said. “CommVault will help us address those needs.”

Thomas Duryea is in a period of strong growth as it continues to gain new customers and staff.

Clarke said it was looking for further vendors.

“With the growth in the market there are always going to be opportunities for new products that meet customer needs – so we’re always reviewing and investigating those opportunities,” he said.
