Classic Blue bolsters AS/400 support

Richard Noone 07 August, 2002 10:27:00

Disaster recovery and outsourcing company Classic Blue has beefed up its AS/400 i-Series support in the wake of increased customer demand.

The company has increased the relative performance rating of its AS/400 installation to 10,000 CPW (commercial processing workload). Classic Blue said the new computing capability, driven by a large increase in demand, is dedicated to supporting Classic Blue's IBM AS/400 IT disaster recovery customers, improving their ability to recover operations in an effective and timely manner.

"According to our information, the installation is thought to be one of the largest in Australia dedicated to supporting the growing requirements for IT recovery facilities," said Adrian Bogatez, managing director of Classic Blue.

It took Classic Blue engineers 48 hours to install the additional capacity that incorporates 1.5TB of disk storage.
