Six lucky Lenovo business partners got the VIP treatment when they took to the fast-paced tracks of the Grand Prix in Melbourne.
The resellers went on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Lenovo-sponsored AT&T Williams garage, where the vendor's ThinkPad notebooks were used to start the F1 racing car engines. They also strolled through the exclusive Paddock Club area to hang out with official racing teams, then took a pit walk to see the garages of other teams including Ferrari, McLaren and BMW.
After the trackside experience, Lenovo partners and customers enjoyed cocktails and canapes at the AT&T Williams Paddock Club area. The AT&T Williams team finished third in the final race.
Over the Grand Prix weekend Lenovo also hosted a Make A Wish Foundation family. A 14-year-old boy, who has cystic fibrosis, was given the opportunity to personally meet racing car drivers, Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima, and chauffeured in a BMW for the weekend.
