Galas heads back to Victoria with GoldenAge
IT distributor, Galas Technology, has joined forces with Victorian reseller and wholesaler, GoldenAge Computers.
Galas managing director, Peter Xie, said the deal would help the Sydney-based distributor re-enter the Melbourne market.
“We had a presence before, but it wasn’t giving us the return on investment,” he said. “Melbourne is a different kettle of fish to Sydney but this [partnership] will double our business in the next 6-12 months.”
GoldenAge owner, Sheng Lin, will also serve as the distributor’s director of sales and marketing.
“We see the benefit in combining our resources. We’re leveraging each other’s strengths to make a better and stronger entity,” Xie said. “This will mean more products for customers and better pre- and post-sales service.”
Galas vendor partners include AMD, Creative Labs, LG, Lexmark, Samsung and Omni. The distributor is looking to recruit more sales support and product management staff.
