Unified threat management vendor, Fortinet, is on a reseller recruitment drive to expand its local presence.

Regional director, Charles Cote, said the company has grown by 56 per cent year-on-year. This presented an opportune time to recruit more specialist partners.

The vendor would like to attract about 30 additional resellers with diverse capabilities and a focus on network security, Cote said. Across A/NZ, Fortinet has about 70 partners.

"We are looking for partners in each region like NSW, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia," he said.

Fortinet has also enhanced its FortiPartner channel program, which was locally launched in May last year. Cote said Silver partners would now need to be authorised to sell above a certain product level. It has also revised product access for partners across its Gold and Platinum certified tiers.

"We are actually ensuring the capabilities of our partners from Silver to Gold and Platinum levels, so there isn't much overlap," he said.

In the next few months, Cote plans to introduce a deal registration program for its reseller base.
