Publishing and distribution company Manaccom has secured the worldwide rights to a new productivity software title that will boost sales by 200,000 in the next year – and it is now looking for corporate dealers.

The software, PublishPDF, allows users to convert most documents into portable document format (PDF). The files can then be viewed in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Manaccom has been granted world rights to the software and is currently negotiating to distribute the title around the world. “We're already in discussions with distributors in more than seven markets already,” Manaccom business development manager, James Mackay, said.

Manaccom will launch a three-pronged distribution strategy when the product launches in May. Online sales will be handled by Jumbo Corporation.

It will distribute the title to its retail customers and is now on the hunt for a corporate partner to help roll out the software to enterprise customers. “We are offering huge margins on corporate sales – as much as 50 per cent,” Mackay said.

PublishPDF comes in a desktop version and a server version as well as professional and standard varieties. PublishPDF pro uses 128-bit encryption to protect sensitive documents, as well as support for bookmarks and hyperlinks.

The standard version will retail for $99.95 and the professional edition for $199.95. Site licenses will also be available.

It looks set to be a big year for Manaccom, which is also gearing up for the release of Devastation, a first person shooter PC title with multiplayer capabilities.

“It is going to be our biggest-ever game title,” Mackay said.
