Anyware Computer Accessories has struck a distribution deal with US-headquartered accessories vendor, Pelican.
The distributor will have access to Pelican's portfolio of protective cases that can fit memory cards, iPods and laptops. The sturdy cases offer waterproof, crush-proof, shockproof and dust proof protection and feature pressure release valves, stainless steal padlock protectors, double throw latches and foam walls.
Anyware national marketing manager, Steve Grant, said it had been approached by Pelican.
"They offer specialised pieces of equipment and Pelican helps to accentuate our product suite," he said. "We do carry regular accessories from mice to gaming but this range takes us to the next step in offering a different set of products to a different type of user.
"It also adds a bit more choice in the market."
Grant said the distributor would target IT and notebook markets with the Pelican range.
"The products maintain a high level of safety and security for the user's high-end equipment and the cases come with a lifetime warranty," he said.
Pelican managing director, Christian Nyman, said it was the vendor's first foray into the IT market.
"We've never had a concentrated effort to distribute into the IT vertical before. Our engagement with Anyware provides us with an opportunity for growth," he said. "We analysed a number of IT distributors and Anyware provided us with a great platform to explore the market potential."
