NetComm is hitting the road to drum up support for its new range of SME networking products and is hoping to pick up some partners along the way.
The NetComm roadshow will mark the official launch of the vendor's SME range of multiport VoIP gateways, mini DSLAMs and wireless hotspots. The event will travel to Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney from August 14 to September 6.
NetComm sales manager - value add channels, Steven Norris, said the vendor was looking to sign up a mix of 50 ISPs, value-added resellers, PBX resellers and systems integrators in each state capital.
He said the products would be a good fit with SMEs, branch offices and hospitality markets because they worked in multiple environments.
"Many vendors are having problems gearing down to the needs of smaller business. Our new products give the same functionality as you would find in large enterprise but without the hassle or cost of rolling out a whole new system," he said.
The roadshow will also host a number of seminars to provide information on new opportunities for resellers within the SMB space.
NetComm national marketing manager, Rochelle White, said the hospitality industry was one such opportunity, where the need for Internet deployments was driving system integrator services.
"Traditionally, this has not been part of the reseller market, but the push from branch offices and hospitality chains through franchise mandates, has proved to be a good growth area," she said.
Resellers can register for the roadshow at http://www.netcomm.com.au/invitations/2006_roadshow_invite.htm
