T Data expands channel sales team

Distributor seeks to gain more market share with Tandberg Data and Digi portfolio

NSW-based storage and database distributor, T Data, has recruited Brian Flack and Michael Bounader as channel sales managers.

Managing director, John Buchanan, said the company had experienced strong growth in its storage and networking portfolio.

"It's all about expanding, particularly in the Digi International product area," he said. "We've got a very strong team already in terms of technical and logistical support. Where we needed to expand our business was in our sales capability and that's what we've set out to do."

Bounader will be primarily focused on the Digi International portfolio. Prior to joining T Data, he worked for Elite Industries, Digiland, Ingram Micro and Comsol.

Flack previously spent nine years with Leading Solutions, where he was involved with the reseller's corporate and government sales of servers and storage. In his new role, Flack will focus on the storage portion of the distributor's vendors. They include Tandberg Data, Freedom9, Yosemite Technologies, Maxell and Fujitsu.

The two new appointments take T Data's staff numbers up to 10.

"We're aiming to achieve about 60 per cent growth with the Digi product in the coming financial year," Buchanan said. "In the Tandberg space, we're keen to get back our number one distributor position.

"We will do that by increasing our sales effort with our additional staff and through increasing our marketing focus."
