Tandberg Data StorageLibrary T80+

This tape library provides professional backup and data protection, plus maximum performance and up to 123.2TB storage (assuming a 2:1 data compression rate). The unit has a choice of LTO-3 and LTO-4 drives and a host of management features aimed at IT departments that need to perform large, unattended backups and require flexibility, reliability and a future-proof technology. The StorageLibrary T80+ supports LVD SCSI and Native Fibre Channel connectivity. It is configured with high levels of data protection such as performance on demand (POD) and a redundant power supply. POD allows users to add up to four full height LTO drives in an 8U form factor. Users can add additional drives or upgrade to increase their library's performance and capacity when required. The StorageLibrary T80+ offers write once read many (WORM) and encryption (LTO-4 only) for data protection and regulatory compliance.

HP StorageWorks D2D

Designed for SMBs, the HP StorageWorks D2D Backup System automates and centralises backup to provide reliable data protection for up to four servers in a single, secure, self-managing device. The system integrates into existing network-based environments and automates backup processes, reducing the risk of human error and hardware problems. Restoring lost or corrupted files also becomes easier because backup data is stored online, where it can be restored in minutes instead of hours. The system emulates up to four tape drives or autoloaders, which can be scheduled for server backup by HP Data Protector Express Software, HP Data Protector Software and other backup applications. The system offers up to 1.5TB of usable capacity. For customers with multiple Windows-based servers on an Ethernet network, the HP D2D Backup System eliminates the need for multiple direct-attached back-up devices and associated management overheads.

RRP: from $2848

D-Link DSN-2000

The DSN-2000 xStack Storage Area Network (SAN) array is a smaller, more value-oriented solution for entry-level and SMB customers. The unit is based on the System-on-a-Chip (SoC) design found in larger arrays such as the DSN-3000 series of products, but is housed in a smaller chassis. The DSN-2000 uses a 10Gbit iSCSI SoC solution that handles more than 80,000 I/Os per second and can support 8TB of raw capacity using 1TB hard drives (and higher capacity hard drives as they are introduced). This can easily be implemented either as nearline storage or as a supplement to a user's primary backup and recovery device. The DSN-2000 has RAID support for 0, 1, 1+0 and 5. It comes with management tools and services such as IP SAN Device Manager (IDM), remote monitoring and configuration, CHAP Authentication that helps halt intruders and SSL security to the management console.

Distributed by: Ingram Micro, Synnex, BlueChip Infotech, Lan 1 and Edsys

RRP: $10,439
