HP launches new SMB TotalCare offerings

Vendor claims the new services will give resellers more value-adds for the SMB market
Matt Sainsbury 22 November, 2007 11:57:27

HP has expanded its Total Care portfolio for SMBs and claims the offerings present new value-add opportunities for channel partners.

HP Total Care is an end-to-end portfolio of support, services, options and programs, both free and fee-based. These services include PC Tune Up, which provides a set of diagnostic and tune-up steps for desktops or notebooks; an online design service called Logoworks; and a HP Email Filter, which is powered by Symantec.

Marketing director at HP, Grant Cleary, said the success of its Total Care program was reliant on channel partners understanding and adopting the portfolio.

"HP will promote the free tools directly, but we would like our channel partners to buy and promote the tools that can value-add," Cleary said.

To help the channel get across the new services, HP is holding a variety of education initiatives, including one-on-one sessions and training bootcamps for partners. The next bootcamp focusing on the Total Care portfolio is scheduled for March next year.
