Anyware to distribute Compro everywhere

Distributor claims to have won an exclusive deal with the TV tuner vendor for the local market

Anyware Computer Accessories claims it has been appointed exclusive distributor of Compro Technology's TV tuners locally.

Anyware managing director, Garrison Huang, said that while the length of the contract hadn't been finalised, it was very excited at gaining exclusive rights to its products.

"Compro's products have won several magazine and website awards. We have enjoyed their growth and think they have a good quality product," Huang said.

Anyware had been distributing Compro TV tuners for the last two years prior to the latest exclusivity deal.

Huang was aware of previous Compro distributors in the local market but would not comment on those relationships.

Anyware will now become more aggressive in promoting Compro's products, Huang said. It planned to increase the vendor's profile included looking at more advertising opportunities and working closer with resellers to promote the products through events.

Anyware distributes Compro PCI digital tuners, PCI dual digital and analogue tuners, PCI-E dual digital tuners, PCMCIA digital and analogue tuners, USB 2.0 tuner sticks and analogue VGA boxes with gaming and HDMI capabilities.

The PCI or PCI-W tuners include a capability called Power-Up Scheduled Recording, giving users the ability to program their TV tuners to record content onto their PCs.
