Symantec’s vice-president of global channels, Julie Parrish, has left the vendor.

A spokesperson for Symantec said in a statement the global channel office would function as it had in the past following Parrish’s departure.

“Symantec continues to be a channel-led company, with the vast majority of our business flowing through our partners within Australia," A/NZ senior director, Channels and Enterprise Sales, David Dzienciol, said. "We are deeply committed to driving profitability and improving partner experiences with Symantec.”

The vendor is working on transition plans for the organisation. In the interim it will rely on regional channel leaders Randy Cochran, Jason Ellis, Cath Hodgson and Paulo Renato, to work with its partners.

Reports from the US suggest that Parrish has moved to NetApp. However, Australian NetApp representatives were unable to comment on the appointment, or how it would affect the NetApp channel.
