Sydney, Aust. – March 19, 2008 – Trend Micro Incorporated, a global leader in Internet content security, announced today the release of a version update to its 2008 consumer products: Trend Micro™ PC-cillin Internet Security Pro 2008, Trend Micro™ PC-cillin Internet Security 2008 and Trend Micro™ AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008. The latest versions take full advantage of Windows Vista™ Service Pack 1 (SP1).

“Trend Micro has worked closely with Microsoft to ensure our security products are optimised for Windows Vista SP1,” said Carol Carpenter, Vice President of Consumer Marketing and Product Management for Trend Micro. “Our goal is to protect consumers who use Windows against identity theft, malware and the latest Web threats.”

Existing users of Trend Micro 2008 consumer products on Windows Vista are automatically updated to the 16.10 version through the Trend Micro Automatic Update feature. New customers who purchase through the Trend Micro online store will also get the latest version. Trend Micro will start shipping the 16.10 version to retail stores this week.

Customers who want to check to see if they have the latest version can click on the ‘Help & Support’ button that’s found on the main console, and then click on ‘Product Information.’
