Saving Face

Australian recruitment firm takes on UC
Trevor Clarke 28 May, 2008 11:58:33

"We had to have project management allocated to it so that we could match the expectation of builders and also in existing environments like in Melbourne, actually build the environment alongside what was already there," Heywood said.

Indeed, while the solution was based on a range of UC technologies, the Springboard project tested ComputerCorp's logistical, project management and other practical business skills like training.

A New Presence

The integrator is now in the final stages of deploying the video conferencing component at Springboard's Sydney branch, which will round out the solution and give the recruiter the chance to leverage their new UC infrastructure in fulfilling more business.

"It has opened up the opportunity for us to do video conferencing, which in itself is going to be a real value-add for candidates, clients and also for us internally from a meeting perspective," Osborne said. "Moving that IT frustration out of the way has helped us focus on driving business."

Springboard has also been able to reduce travel times for executives, quicken the speed of appointments for clients, decrease IT management time and improve the company image at all contact points, Osborne said.

ComputerCorp is also providing ongoing support for Springboard through a managed service regime involving server maintenance and other UC requirements.
