Mitsubishi Electric HC3100
The HC3100 home theatre projector from Mitsubishi Electric features a high resolution (1280 x 768 pixels) and contrast ratio (4500:1). It has a motorized iris to enable optical contrast adjustments, which can be used to choose the optimal light output for what is being viewed. The HC3100 includes a trigger terminal which is great for people who have a motorised projection screen. When the projector is switched on the screen will automatically drop down. It also has a whisper quiet running volume of 25dB(A). Mitsubishi Electric promotes the total cost of ownership as low due to its filter-free design and 3000-hour lamp life. The inclusion of the new DMD Darkchip3also enables the HC3100 to project an even blacker black. The process achieves impressive reductions in reflection, creating a crisper, clearer contrast.Distributed by Also Technology, Todaytech, Multimedia Technology, Compu Wholesale and BMS Technology

Epson EMP-822
Epson promotes its EMP-822 as a presentation and teaching projector for the education and business markets, citing improved brightness, increased security, reduced operating costs and a three-year warranty as its key selling points. The EMP-822 uses Epson's patented low cost E-TORL lamp with an extended life of 3000-4000 hours depending on operating mode. It provides a higher brightness of 2600 ANSI lumens at lower power consumption and can be replaced from $269. As a result the EMP-822 has a low operating power consumption of 231 watts (W) and a standby consumption of just 5.8W. It sports a built-in security bar that allows it to be locked to the mount as a reliable countermeasure against theft when used in public areas and lecture rooms, and can also be connected to the room's main power source so it can be activated by turning on the main power switch.Distributed by Ingram Micro, Alloys International and Westan

ViewSonic PJ760
The PJ760 is an all-in-one multimedia solution, with a high brightness of 3200 lumens and a native XGA 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, powerful enough to project dynamic presentations at the office, yet portable enough - at only 3.6kgs - for business users to carry home and watch movies. With a digital keystone correction of +/- 30 degrees, users are able to conveniently place the projector at an angle without skewing the image. The projector's progressive scan, 3:2 pull down and zoom lens features present clear, detailed images, presentations and movies at home or in the office. The projector also features a short throw, which enables the projector to display a 60-inch image at just 1.8m, ideal for apartments or small meeting rooms. With 10-bit digital gamma correction, the PJ760 also has the ability to reproduce fine differences in light and shade, giving more dimensions to the displayed images than conventional technologies.Distributed by Synnex and Ingram Micro

Acer P1265
The Acer P1265 is equipped with ColorBoost, Acer's proprietary colour enhancement technology for DLP projectors. ColorBoost provides optimised colour performance that delivers vivid pastel images, and reduces rainbow effects. Combining a six-colour wheel design, ColorBoost delivers brilliant colours and high contrast ratio. In addition, the P1265 is powered by Acer SmartFormat technology, a multi-format support technology that enables instant projection regardless of output display resolution. To improve ease-of-use, Acer has equipped its entire projector range with Empowering Technology, a software suite that includes Acer eView Management featuring the innovative Blackboard Mode utility. This allows users to instantly project onto a traditional green chalkboard, without the need to set up a separate white screen. It also includes eTimer management (an onscreen visual cue to help keep presentations on schedule) and eOpening management - a simple way to create a customised start-up screen.Distributed by Bluechip Infotech, Ingram Micro, Cellnet and Compu Wholesale

Sony VPL-CX155
Sony's VPL-C series of LCD projectors includes five new models, each designed to meet specific presentation requirements in mid-sized conference rooms and classrooms. The new models are CX100, CX120, CX150, CX125, and CX155, all featuring native XGA resolution (1024 x 768 pixels), with a range of brightness levels from 2700 to 3500 ANSI lumens. Each projector incorporates 3LCD technology with Sony's new Advanced Crisp Focus (ACF) glass lens, which is designed to display sharper and clearer images with minimal aberration on a screen's entire surface. The projectors accept a wide variety of input signals, including component and composite video, S-video (Y/C), and computer signals up to SXGA+ (fV: 60 Hz). This flexibility allows them to be connected to a variety of sources and peripherals. They also have a monitor output and audio input and output. The VPL-CX155 sits at the top of the range, adding network capabilities for delivering presentations and performing maintenance over an IP network. InFocus Work Big IN10
The InFocus Work Big IN10 ultra-mobile projector is built around innovative, compact optics and advanced DLP imaging technology with an 1800 ANSI lumen rating. Supporting both front and rear projection with a native XGA resolution it will display the most media-rich presentations. The IN10 weighs 1.09kg and fits into the palm of your hand - half the weight and size of most other mobile projectors, according to the vendor. The size enables the user to travel light while maintaining full presentation functionality including the onboard 1.3:1 zoom lens - an ideal hybrid for utilising close quarters such as a tradeshow booth, or taking presentations to a conference room. The lens-mounted zoom and focus control also enables users to adjust their image anywhere at anytime without fragile internal motors to worry about. The IN10 uses a standard 4000-hour lamp - which provides years of maintenance-free projection with nothing to clean or replace. This includes projector air filters which are now a thing of the past. According to the vendor, users will never be embarrassed by a filter warning on-screen during an important presentation again.Distributed by Bluechip Infotech
