After Hours: Data#3 national manager of marketing and alliances, Mark Phillips
My favourite book or movie ...With a young family I rarely find the time to read at home and find the best time to do this is on the plane. I don’t really have a favourite book. At the moment I’m reading two books: Status Anxiety by Alain de Botton and 1700 Scenes from London Life by Maureen Waller.
If I could go anywhere ...I would love to holiday in Paris with my wife and then take the whole family to LA to have fun at Disneyland.
If I wasn’t doing this job ...I originally started my working career in finance in a foreign exchange dealing room before I moved on to IT. If I was going to take a professional career change I would probably go back to finance. Alternatively, a rock star any day of the week!
The person I most admire ...Because it takes a lot of effort to be the best in the world, I most admire key sporting figures. Also because I am a tennis fan, I don’t think you can go past Roger Federer.
I really hate ...I always seem to be in a hurry and find myself getting very frustrated with people who walk inordinately slow.
