Queensland-based wireless distributor, inTechnology, has signed up with US vendor, TriActive to offer its systems software-as-a-service (SaaS) management technology.
TriActive's tools provide asset and patch management, software distribution and remote control management. inTechnology group sales and marketing director, Mark Winter, said it will open up opportunities to work with managed service providers.
"Over the last six months we had a look at other players in the market and TriActive's no-cost setup option was one of the big things we came across," he said. "This solution opens up a huge door for channel partners and the service offering allows them to provide desktop, laptop and server managed services."
For most partners, becoming an MSP required big investments which could set them back, Winter said.
"A lot of partners have been saying they want to do more in this space, but the starting investment pushes many away from doing it now," he said. "With TriActive, they can starting offering it from day one."
TriActive is targeted at organisations with up to 500 seats.
"On-demand technology allows partners to offer support services to their customers, no matter where they are," Winter said. Partners also have the opportunity to offer the services under their own company branding.
TriActive will offer online training including videos, webcasts and podcasts and partners will also have access to customised marketing materials. TriActive Asia-Pacific and Japan managing director, Tom Galantomos, said inTechnology was one of the most aggressive distributors it had come across in the Australian market.
"The organisation has a good vision into future technologies that Australia can benefit from," he said.
