New Magic Australia Introduces Hauppauge HVR2200 PCIe Low Profile TV Tuner

31 January, 2008 12:25:47

30th January 2008, Sydney - New Magic Australia, Australia's leading niche video and multimedia products distributor announced today the introduction of the Hauppauge HVR2200 OEM Low Profile PCIe Dual digital and Dual Analogue TV Tuner for Windows Vista Home Premium, Vista Ultimate and Windows XP Media Centre Edition.

The Hauppauge HVR2200 is an OEM product designed for system integrators and PC manufactures that is a true "all in one" TV solution for Media Centre PC's. Hauppauge have designed the HVR2200 as a low profile single-lane PCIe card that ships with both half and full height mounting brackets. The card has state-of-the-art dual silicon Digital (SD/HD) and Analogue TV Tuners with super fast channel switching and stereo FM radio (FM antenna provided). The analogue inputs are enhanced by an on-board MPEG hardware encoder. The card has a single RF input for all tuners and separate analogue inputs for connection to set-top boxes. Also available as an optional extra is an Analogue break out cable which connects to the HVR2200's internal feature connector providing a secondary analogue input. Also supported is Windows Vista S3 mode which is popular with many media centre builders.

The Hauppauge HVR2200 allows system builders to supply customers a Media centre PC that can be configured to receive either Dual digital or Dual Analogue TV while only utilising 1 single lane PCIe slot.

As with all Hauppauge products which are built to the highest standards and only utilising quality components, the HVR2200 is backed up with a full 2 year warranty. The HVR2200 comes complete with Windows XP MCE and Windows Vista Home Premium and Ultimate (32 and 64Bit) WHQL drivers and is available from New Magic Australia, New Magic Australia sub distributors Ingram Micro, Multimedia Technology and quality computer outlets.
