Sybiz looks for regional support

Julia Talevski 22 November, 2006 16:59:43

Adelaide-based Sybiz Software is on the hunt for more resellers to help support its customers in regional areas.

Director, Ben O'Brien, said he was looking to add another 15 partners to its 60-strong base.

The company is also planning to launch a new accounting software suite, to be known as Predator, next year. Testing is currently being conducted by a small number of partners.

O'Brien said the new range would offer a broader focus than its current portfolio and he would like to attract resellers that already provide similar products.

"It is not essential but the experience they would have in contact sales would be an advantage," he said. "We also want partners that may not be totally satisfied with being able to fulfil opportunities with their current vendor." The first product off the rank will be known as Business Relationship Management. O'Brien said it had similar traits to a CRM product and would be suited to companies with 20-100 employees.

"Business Relationship Management extends the CRM concept. It is still customer centric but it doesn't tie itself to customer interaction exclusively. It also looks at interactions with suppliers and employees," he said. "We have done a bit of a crystal ball gazing in terms of what a software product would need to look like to suit a business in 5-10 years."
