Services and telecommunications provider, Brennan IT, claims to have posted its strongest June financial results to date, topping $8.2 million in sales revenue.
The monthly result beats its previous best in May of $7.1 million. According to managing director, Dave Stevens, clients had begun viewing technology as an investment rather than an expense.
"We've got a good set of products targeted at reducing our client's costs," he said. "They are looking at it as an investment that's going to have a return. We're winning lots of business that way."
For the six months to June, Brennan secured 287 deals and 13 new business wins with organisations such as Count Wealth, where it provided managed infrastructure including a private IP WAN, and virtualised their servers. Other recent customer wins include eBay and Terry White Chemist, where Brennan supplied custom application development.
"We introduced a new element to their [Terry White] business and it's going to drive revenue for them," Stevens said. "They're not looking at it as an extra cost for their business but as an opportunity to increase their revenue."
The Federal Government's Digital Education Revolution initiative is also presenting new deals and opportunities for Brennan in regards to technology procurement and connectivity, Stevens said.
Other contributors to Brennan's growth include strong sales in WANs, software development such as SharePoint, and its software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering called FireMate, Stevens said. "It's all about keeping our momentum up and our sales and pre-sales team focused on what's best for our clients," he said. "We're doing a lot of work with our sales team around enhancing their ability to talk to a client, understand what their business challenges are and matching them up to our offerings."
Brennan is also in the process of switching the lights on at its new datacentre facility in Brisbane.
"It's fired up and we're just in the process of migrating clients," Stevens said.
