NetComm's new wireless router offers multiple users 3G connectivity simultaneously by sharing one PC-MCIA 3G card.

The router uses a regular Optus, Vodafone, Hutchinson, 3 or Telstra NextG PCMCIA card and relays 3G access into an 802.11g (54Mbps) wireless connection. The N3G001W also provides multiple security protection measures including wireless LAN 64/128-bit WEP encryption security, WPA/WPA2 and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK authentication and TKIP/AES encryption security.

The router supports VPN pass-through for sensitive data secure transmission, as well as a variety of connection approaches. They include static ISP, dynamic IP (HDCP client), dynamic IP with Road Runner Session Management, PPPoE, unnumbered PPPoE, unnumbered PPPoE+NAPT, MultiSession PPPoE, L2TP, PPTP and 3G.

NetComm claims set up is easy using its Web-based configuration and management tool. The router also features a WAN port, Ethernet/LAN port and detachable antenna.
