Cisco appoints ex-MCI chief Capellas to board
Cisco Systems has appointed Michael Capellas, former president and CEO of MCI, to its board of directors, the computer networking company said Tuesday.

Cisco Systems has appointed Michael Capellas, former president and chief executive officer of MCI, to its board of directors, the computer networking company said Tuesday.

Cisco did not say what role Capellas would play on the board.

Capellas left MCI in January after a multi-billion dollar acquisition of the company by Verizon Communications Inc. He has also served as president of Hewlett-Packard and chairman and CEO of Compaq Computer, and has worked at Schlumberger, SAP America and Oracle.
