Global IP telephony vendor, Interactive Intelligence, is ramping up its reseller push to drive into the SMB space.
The vendor offers a unified communications software suite and has over 3000 customers worldwide.
"We've been in the country for seven years, but for the past five years the solution hasn't been driven hard enough," Interactive Intelligence country manager, Brendan Maree, said.
The vendor is now looking for new resellers in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin and Perth. Interactive Intelligence will initially work with partners directly and provide local training and marketing initiatives. Previously, all training had to be done overseas.
To gain accreditation, resellers require two certified engineers and a dedicated sales manager.
The local certification course takes a week, and will be held in Sydney. Maree expected the first course to run over the next 1-2 months.
Interactive Intelligence will also host a Partner Program Live Web Seminar on May 13 to provide information to prospective channel partners. The seminar will include a presentation by Maree on the company, customers and key product differentiators.
The vendor will also look for distributors to take the product to the SMB space in Australia, Maree said.
"If we can find an interested distributor, we'll hand over the resellers in the SMB space to them," he said.
