Mitsubishi claims its new projector is an affordable, high-quality home theatre machine. The HC4900 offers 1080p high resolution and 7500:1 contrast ratio, as well as HDMI and DVI connectors to provide high signal quality from the video source. The projector is designed to be quiet, running at 19db in low mode, and has a long lamp life of up to 5000 hours. It offers side access to the lamp for convenience and accessibility. The HC4900 features three Crystal Clear Fine inorganic LCD panels to provide a colour-consistent, even-toned image. A protective filter has been added to the LCD block housing to help reduce dust landing on the LCD panels. The projector features power zoom and focus, as well as lens shift to provide users with flexible options for installation. It also includes a trigger terminal for people with motorised projection screens, meaning screens will automatically drop down when the projector is switched on.

Canon ScanFront220

The ScanFront 220 is Canon's latest network scanning solution that aims at being simple to use while delivering diverse imaging functionality. Available in Standard or Professional Editions, the device allows users to preview captured images on an 8.5-inch touch panel, and scan to email, a network folder, FTP site or USB memory stick. The ScanFront 220 offers personal and networked address books, as well as new security features including fingerprint identification (available on the Professional Edition). Both models feature Canon's proprietary feed mechanism, which is capable of scanning a wide range of documents, including thick documents, plastic cards and drivers' licenses. The device can scan up to 26 pages per minute for A4 documents and save scanned documents in several file formats including high-compression PDF, Searchable PDF, as well as TIFF and JPEG. The ScanFront 220 allows system administrators to remotely register individual users to the device and assign each with access privileges. According to Canon, the scanner offers high-end document security with the ability to send encrypted PDFs and maintain a detailed log to track outgoing transmissions. The ScanFront 220 also has a memory wipe function to prevent classified information leaks. Both models provide network security through NTLM v2 protocol and support the Kerberos network protocol to identify and authenticate clients connecting to servers.
