The ACCC has issued a statement regarding the charges associated with mobile data usage. Released yesterday, the statement warns that customers with 3G mobile phones can face high fees once they exceed their monthly data allowance.

After much anticipation, the iPhone 3G was released internationally this morning.

The recently released Officejet Pro L7590 is a refresh of the popular L7580. It has been slightly redesigned and slightly improved. The strengths of both the discontinued L7580 and the L7380 are apparent in this printer.

Netgear's DG834N is a combined 802.11n draft wireless router and DSL modem built with simplicity in mind. Its modem is superb, managing to sync at some of the fastest speeds we've seen for a DSL modem. However, no Gigabit Ethernet and poor throughput speeds may make this unattractive for people who need to conduct heavy data transfers and media streaming on their local network.

Packing a number of PC-less features and an easy-to-use interface, the Canon PIXMA MP610 multifunction is definitely suitable for families. This midrange multifunction is the little brother of Canon's flagship MP970. If price is a factor the MP610, is certainly worthwhile considering.

HP has refreshed its HDX range with the release of the HDX9313TX. Not much has changed in terms of design since we reviewed the HDX9004TX, but some tweaking under the hood has improved performance. However, the 9313TX has many high-end components but no fine tuning. This impacts on performance and causes the overall user experience to suffer.

Despite a slight increase in costs, the Epson Stylus CX7300 is a much more efficient and better quality choice than the low-end Stylus CX5500. Inexpensive running costs and decent print quality make the CX7300 an excellent choice for families.

The Stylus CX5500 is Epson's entry-level multi-function printer, offering basic functionality in an inexpensive package. Although its relatively low price point will inevitably entice buyers, potential users should be aware of its poor build quality and unimpressive performance.

HP's Photosmart C6280 is a capable multi-function solution designed primarily for families. While this multi-function boasts a number of features that facilitate use around the home, it also suffers from inconsistent quality.

The J6480 is a suitable addition to HP's Officejet All-in-One range. Although this multi-function's running costs may exceed some users' budgets, it has excellent features and delivers decent print quality.

Philips isn't a very large player in the monitor market, and the 200BW probably isn't going to change this too much. The monitor has a number of flaws; its adjustability and viewing angles make it a possible option for the office, however.
