It gets plenty of press and is a darling of the PR community. But do you use it in business? I'm not convinced yet - but if they develop a revenue stream that garners a decent profit for Twitter I think it will be around for a long time to come. It might have to transform a bit to be more like the Japanese micro-blogging where you have no limitations on posts, however, to become worthwhile in my book.

twitter is a sham

its a shame because so many people use their PR to do the posts for them - take a look at hugh jackman and the opera center...

I read recently that 60 per cent of new users stop twittering after one or two days - so their figures for popularity might not be that accurate

it's all beat up by the press anyway
