The word is they are looking at a tie up - who reckons it is a good idea?

My view: It'll definitely give them an edge in the market but whether they can leverage it depends on how smooth the transition goes. Many an acquisition has failed because of poor implementation.

Oracle and Sun

It's going to be interesting to see how Oracle works with Sun's hardware, or will they look at spinning off that part of Sun's business? I guess we'll just have to wait and see what they'll do.
