Considered by many by one of the more recession-proof industries out there, and with figures that back it up, the gaming industry is nonetheless still suffering the odd casualty - EA cut 11,000 staff and smaller players, such as distributor Red Ant has gone under.
On the other hand, sales are strong, and companies such as Nintendo seem safe. So what is the gaming industry doing well that other retail markets are not?

people want to stay at home and not spend cash, don't they?
love my psp - can't wait for the next installment of Metal gear solid
how many of the E3 games are coming to oz soon? anybody know?
They will all eventually come down here... E3 announcements don't generally come with release dates, since the nature of the industry means these can be fluid, especially in the early stages of development.
And in other news, Nintendo's profits are through the roof in comparison to Sony and Microsoft and the economic conditions.
The question is... why?
Silence has come:)

Hi
I've looked a trailer for the "2012". I was interested in this theme.
Please advise me a good site on this topic.
And what do you think about the end of the world 2012.
Thanks.
