PCmerge was formed in January 2010 as the trading arm of Robinson Professional Services Pty Ltd (ABN 88 268 100 916) and is a specialist distributor focused on desktop virtualization technology.

The prime vendor is NComputing, cited as the fastest growing desktop virtualization and thin client company, whose small product portfolio been deployed into 2.5 million seats in over 140 countries, and today has 15 million users globally.

PCmerge has two 'go-to-market’ business models. One is 'direct to end user’ and will set the initial pace and exposure for the business. This is primarily targeting schools and SMB nationally. The other business model is 'wholesale’ giving the opportunity to resellers and system integrators to take advantage of the 25% to 35% discount off the RRP which translates to substantial profit relative to the industry standard. As the business grows, it is envisaged the channel activity will become the dominant portion of the business model.

Customers using NComputing include those in the Education, Government, Corporate and SMB markets. Education and Training represents the largest business sector today for NComputing comprising about 60% of its total global business. However, the fast growing trend is in Enterprise as new products are targeting this market fitting very comfortably and competitively in variety of VDI environments including VMware and Citrix.

PCmerge will continue to be a niche supplier offering NComputing products as well as related peripheral products such as Host PC/Servers, LCD Monitors/Keyboards & Mice.
