Apple's iPhone is a better investment than any other smartphone because it has a higher resale value than an Android device, and it's also less expensive to own. That's according to a study from Priceonomics.

Apple was the undisputed leader of the smartphone market in the last quarter, as rival Nokia lost almost a third of its sales, according to the latest research from the International Data Corporation. The iPhone 4S was the hottest-selling smartphone during the holidays, closely followed by Samsung’s devices, as the market grew by almost 55 percent from last year.

Samsung appears to be using all the media attention generated by Apple's attempt to ban sales of its tablet in order to push the Galaxy Tab. A Samsung ad in the Sydney Morning Herald this week boasts that the Galaxy Tab is "the tablet Apple tried to stop."

Facebook has updated its Android app, introducing a new navigation menu and moving the notifications and messages at the top. The social networking giant also made tweaks to the photos and albums modules, which are meant to load up to two times faster. The free app is now available in the Android Market.
