Cisco has flagged some changes at the top with the resignation last week of channel head, Kip Cole.
His departure is understood to be the beginning of some internal changes put in place by the company's new managing director, Ross Fowler, who took over in October, 2003.
He had been poached from Alcatel.
A spokesperson for Cisco said Cole left during the past couple of weeks.
Cole spent nearly five years at Cisco. He took-over its channel business in May 2001.
