Pure Storage has confirmed that Dino Soepono is its new Asia-Pacific and Japan channels and alliances director.

Soepono joins the company from Citrix Systems, where he served as its Asia-Pacific and Japan channels and alliances director for more than a year.

Soepono’s appointment follows the departure of Ben Goodman, who vacated the Asia-Pacific and Japan director of channels role after holding it for more than a year.

Goodman left Pure Storage in June this year and has since returned to Dell EMC as its Asia-Pacific and Japan Isilon division general manager.

Soepono’s appointment has been effective since November 7. He will be based in the company’s Sydney office, unlike Goodman, who was based in its Singapore office.

Prior to his role as Asia-Pacific and Japan channels and alliances director at Citrix Systems, Soepono was in a number of other roles within the company, including working as its Asia-Pacific enterprise mobility director and A/NZ server virtualisation and cloud regional senior manager.

He was in Citrix Systems for a total of nine years.

Before Citrix Systems, he worked at ChannelWorx, which was acquired by Avnet in 2007, as its regional director. He was in this company for more than three years.

Some of his other stints include working in Network Associates in California, Logicalis Australia, and Alliance Computers.
