Robert Easton steps up to lead Accenture in A/NZ

Accenture appoints new boss for A/NZ

Accenture has picked Robert Easton to “lead the next chapter” for the company in the Australian market, naming the former local head of sales, growth, and strategy as its new A/NZ country managing director.

Easton replaces Jack Percy in the top job, and is expected to draw upon his client relationship building skills to help foster the company’s business in the local market.

“Bob [Easton] brings deep industry, strategy, and consulting experience, a track record for developing enduring client relationships, and a strong commitment to our people,” Accenture growth markets group chief executive, Gianfranco Casati, said in a statement.

“He is well-placed to make a difference to our business and people in Australia and New Zealand."

Percy, who headed up the company’s local operations since 2010, has been with the company since 1983 in a range of leadership roles. He is set to continue as head of Accenture’s business in the South Korea market, a responsibility he picked up in 2014.

“I am incredibly proud of the team and the market-leading business we have built in Australia and New Zealand,” Percy said.

“Bob is the perfect choice to lead the next chapter for Accenture in these markets, and I wish him and the team continued success.”

Easton, who has been with Accenture for 18 years, comes to the new role after serving as the company’s sales, growth, and strategy lead for the local market since May this year and, before that, as senior managing director, where he managed large client global relationships.

The new appointment follows a deal by the consulting giant in August to acquire Melbourne-based managed security specialist, Redcore, in a bid to expand its security offering in the region.

“The acquisition of Redcore will allow us to expand our existing IAM services and security-as-a-service capabilities - along with other critical cyber defence services - while also immediately extending our leadership position in the Asia-Pacific region,” Accenture Security managing director, Kelly Bissell, said at the time.
