Fujitsu hooks ex-Westcon veteran into national NZ sales role

Fujitsu has appointed David Hook as national sales manager in New Zealand, following his recent departure as Westcon-Comstor sales director in Australia.

Fujitsu has appointed David Hook as national sales manager in New Zealand, following his recent departure as Westcon-Comstor sales director in Australia.

With a strong distribution background, the tech veteran is tasked with leading the company’s national account management team, holding responsibility for Fujitsu's platform sales revenue.

Based in Auckland, Hook will be filling a key senior management position in Fujitsu's local office, and will start his new role on September 5.

“I’ve worked with David for many years and I am thrilled to have him joining my team,” Fujitsu general manager of sales, Mike Bullock, said.

“He brings a wealth of experience and a respected network of contacts across our clients and our vendor partners.

“David will also be my second in command for sales and is someone I know I can rely upon for his experience and advice.”

Hook vacated his role as sales director of Westcon-Comstor Australia last month, having held a national role managing the vendor’s outbound sales team with account managers across the country.

In being responsible for the distributor’s reseller customer base and go-to-market strategies, Hook returns to New Zealand after departing in November 2014.
