Oper8 picks NEXTDC for data centre network

AXONVX will speed up customer connectivity to Oper8's Elev8 cloud storage platform

Queensland-based IT services provider, Oper8 has chosen NEXTDC’s national data centre network for colocation services and will also have access to AXONVX connectivity services.

Oper8 provides managed IT services, cloud storage, Internet and WAN communications, and Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) across industries such as government, education, retail, healthcare and telecommunications.

Expanding its colocation offering with NEXTDC allows Oper8 customers to host infrastructure in any of its data centres under one nationally standardised contract and service level agreement. It is also a member of the NEXTDC partner program and can offer customers subscriptions to ONEDC Advanced Management DCIM-as-a-Service.

Oper8 managing director, Mike Andrea, said AXONVX will provide its customers with higher speed connectivity to its cloud storage platform, Elev8 and will also resell AXONVX as point-to-point connectivity.

“This means customers connect to our back-up and replication solution in real-time with zero latency in retrieving their data,” he said. “On top of this, we’ve increased customer opportunities for infrastructure consolidation with ONEDC, we’ve got the ability to offer the right service mix so our customers can keep their network within Australia and use insights into their data to make business-critical decisions.”

Oper8 has also integrated its existing DCIMaaS offering with ONEDC and has begun reselling subscriptions for ONEDC Advanced Management, which allows customers to combine their colocation and on-premise racks into an online management tool.
