Australian based developer of guest Wi-Fi systems, Encapto WiFi, has forged a distribution agreement with major UK wireless distributor of wireless Cloud, security hardware and software, Purdicom.

Encapto WiFi CEO, Darryl Clarke, said the agreement marks a significant expansion of its business and backs up some major inroads that the company has made in the UK.

“Just over a year, since its launch, Encapto now derives more than 80 per cent of its revenues from overseas with the UK one of its fastest growing markets.

“Encapto is built on the back of our Wi-Fi integration business. It’s just great to have that knowledge validated around the world,” he said.

The Encapto WiFi platform brings flexibility to public Wi-Fi deployments.

“It works across different Wi-Fi hardware systems, offers more options for user onboarding, has quality user engagement features, and the licensing is flexible too.

“Our UK clients already include some big brands from across hospitality, retail and sports venues. This deal will help us grow that client base and become the go to product in the market,” he added.

For Purdicom, the Encapto partnership represents a quantum leap for its wireless portfolio.

“This agreement will help cement that position, but more than that, it will change the conversations we are having with our resellers.

“Instead of talking about RF, we can be talking about what end users really want – user engagement, content delivery, reporting and analytics,” Purdicom head of sales and marketing, Karen Oosthuizen, added.
