Zettagrid buys Conexim

Zettagrid will expand its scale, product range and Advanced Partner support team in Sydney

IaaS Cloud provider, Zettagrid has acquired Sydney-based Cloud infrastructure services business, Conexim, for an undisclosed sum.

Conexim began providing hosting services in 1993. The company delivers its hosting services from three major datacenters – two in Sydney and one in US, which are connected to the Conexim Network. It has a partnership with Equinix and uses its SY2 facility.

Conexim developed its own VMware and XEN Cloud in 2009, providing public, hybrid and private Cloud services along with international CDN, Anycast DNS and various hosting services.

The acquisition will see Zettagrid expand its scale, product range and Advanced Partner support team in Sydney.

In the next few months, Zettagrid will migrate Conexim customers, integrate some of their products and retire the Conexim brand.

“Customers of both Zettagrid and Conexim will benefit from this,” Zetta Group managing director, Nathan Harman, said.

“We plan on expanding Zettagrid’s product catalogue by adding a number of unique Conexim products over the coming months. We’ll also consolidate a number of services on our combined VMware platforms.”
