Bulletproof appoints Aakash Gandhi as new business development and partner leader

Will focus on leading the company's sales team and working with enterprise customers

ASX-listed Cloud services provider, Bulletproof (ASX:BPF), has hired Aakash Gandhi as its new general manager of business development and partners.

In his newly created role, he will report to director of sales and marketing, Mark Randall, and will be responsible for leading Bulletproof’s sales team as well as dealing with the increasing demand for Cloud services from enterprise customers.

Randall said enterprise businesses were after Cloud service providers that could work with them on long-term strategies and enable digital transformation.

“We understand the challenges of enterprise businesses with legacy systems, silos and the need to increase agility. Bulletproof’s range of expertise helps businesses implement long-term innovation using AWS, DevOps, integration and APIs, big data and an omni-channel strategy,” Randall said.

“Aakash’s appointment means Bulletproof is even better placed to start and lead these conversations with Enterprise organisations.”

Gandhi maintains more than 15 years enterprise IT experience, previously working for Telstra, Uecomm (subsidiary of Optus), Fujitsu and most recently served as the general manager of Infoplex, part of the Nextgen Group.

According to Bulletproof, it launched the first managed AWS services in Australia in 2012 and became the first AWS Premier consulting partner in Australia in 2013.

Some of its enterprise customers include Qantas, Amaysim, Sydney Airport and Crownbet.

During the first half of FY16, the company saw growth across all areas of its business business with revenue rising from $11.4 million to $21.6 million and net profit jumping from $808,000 to $1.1 million.

Managed Cloud revenues were up 72 per cent from H1 FY15.
