IT services provider CSC has added another acquisition to its arsenal, purchasing Canberra-based information and cyber security consultants, Dalmatian Group.

Financial details of the acquisition haven't been disclosed.

CSC A/NZ managing director, Seelan Nayagam, said the demand for cyber security services is growing across its enterprise accounts, and the acquisition substantially expands its presence in this sector across A/NZ.

“The addition of Dalmatian's highly respected capabilities and people, will complement our existing services in cybersecurity and enhance our position as a market leader in this space,” he said.

The Dalmatian Group has been a partner of UXC Saltbush for more than five years, providing assurance and consulting services. It will come under the UXC Saltbush, a CSC company brand and it will be adding 10 Dalmatian staff to the team.

CSC/UXC A/NZ head of consulting, Nick Mescher, said Dalmatian provided a broader reach into its client base.

"This takes our numbers up in the region to more than 300 cyber security consultants, from UXC and CSC's cyber security practises, which enables us to have end-to-end coverage of the market," he said. "It's a focus area for both companies."

Mescher said it was looking at number of acquisitions at the moment.

"UXC has traditionally been a very strong acquisition company to help grow in the market, and to be able to complete an acquisition within two weeks of being acquired, is a strong statement to the market," he said.

The news comes on the back of CSC’s recent acquisition of UXC.
